Chosen Task and Ancillary Task

1. A promotion package for the release of an album, to include a music promo video, together with two of the following three options:
 
• a website homepage for the band;
• a digipak for the album’s release;
• a magazine advertisement for the digipak.

This is the brief I have chosen for my A2 production task. The idea of creating a music video appeals to me because I have a huge interest in music, especially the hip hop/ alternative side of the industry.  I chose an audio-visual brief as opposed to a print-based media one because I want to learn a new set of skills and develop my knowledge in a different side of the media. However to use the skills I learnt through my magazine production last year, I have decided to choose the magazine advertisement ancillary task as well as the digipak task to incorporate my knowledge of Photoshop and to practice the skills I learnt through my last task.
